Natal Month number: 5
A realist who brings a practical approach to problem solving, Siti Nani's confident outlook will soon lead her to a position of leadership. Because she has developed fixed views on the important things of life, Siti Nani has an inner core of confidence that will at times make her appear stubborn. Yet such a trait is so well balanced with the gentle side of her nature, that her personality appeals to a wide audience.

Natal House number: 4
With a strong sense of justice, Siti Nani has a balanced but independent view of the major issues affecting life, yet lacks attention to detail. Inclined to leave things until the very last minute, she will struggle in any employment until she is sufficiently senior to have someone else put into effect the many good ideas that she will contribute.

Comments based on Western Grid

Although Siti Nani may be reasonably talkative in public, she finds it difficult to express personal feelings to those closest to her. In employment terms, this inhibition is of little consequence.

Sensitive to criticism and naturally intuitive, Siti Nani has a natural ability to detect insincerity in others. Because she is a sensitive soul, Siti Nani can be a solid friend and a good listener. As a result, she will get on well with colleagues, whilst being more than capable of handling office politics.

Well-balanced, with an understanding and compassionate nature, Siti Nani is a natural leader who can inspire others. But she needs a certain amount of freedom at work and at home. With a compassionate and caring nature, and with the ability to get on well with others, Siti Nani will be a strong member of any team and will provide solid inspiration and support to her colleagues.

Siti Nani will find life's lessons hard to learn. She will suffer from loss (of possessions or those she loves) before questioning the cause of that loss. It is likely that Siti Nani will develop a faith of some sort, and although it need not necessarily be a religious faith, it will nevertheless be something that she holds onto against all the evidence. Potential employers need to find out what that faith entails.

Good with details and with a methodical approach, Siti Nani nevertheless is someone who enjoys constant new challenges to maintain her interest. She is a methodical individual with attention to detail, but is inclined to leave tasks unfinished if her active mind alights on something of greater interest. Routine tasks that fail to challenge her intellect are at greatest risk, so Siti Nani needs a job that offers variety.

Arrghhhh... i feel SOOO old.

Saturday, March 06, 2004

It's been a LONGGGGGGG month *i think*.

Anyway, news: Am already posted to the Ministry of Transportation (MoT); which division, I have yet to be informed. Life's been pretty okay, though i di miss d HDPM environment like hell.

Went for the Kursus Induksi DPA. It was GREAT!! Though there were times where i felt like just dropping dead purely out of exhaustion, but overall, it was a blast! Went hiking, cave-exploring, na-da na-da na-da. Gawd. The exprience was indescribable.

I'm speechless. Utterly speechless.

Anyway, after the 10-day course, came back to KL n reported for duty at Parcel D, Putrajaya. Have been busy this past week. Will be busy until Wednesday, where hopefully they'll inform me which division i'm posted to. Shit! The suspense is killing me!

Okay, so far, i've visited Port Klang (Nothport, Southport), where i've seen all the huge cranes up close. Even had d chance to take a sea view of the ports via boat. Had a blast, though I was scared shit of the boat sinking. Hahaha..

Then, we were brought to visit the Menara KLIA, housing the DCA (Dept. of Civil Aviation). Did u know that the 747 looks like a damn toyplane from that Tower? Damn scary. N damn high-tech too. Imagine that u can detect a cat running across d tracks from that tower. Gawd....

Anyway, am a bit rusty here for blogging *u can tell rite?* Will sign off know b4 i bore u people to death. Adios!

Friday, February 06, 2004

Just arrived from a late nite out wit d work gang. Had so much damn fun!!

We actually went to a place in subang *can't actually remember how to get to dat place anymore*. Anyway, just like lepak at dis mamak shop, n it was damn cool. BC, Greg, Kavit, Priss n Vinny were there. Heck, a whole lot of people frm HDPM were there. Even Nizam...

Anyway, we had a blast there, just laughing our heads off.

I REALLY AM gonna miss those people. Shit!

It's so sad, if u think about it too often. So i try not too. Evn when we get home, we still sms each othr abt anything. D greatness of technology!!

Anyway, here i am. Sleepless. Being sad thinking abt d day i have to say goodbye to them. Hai-yaa... I'm gonna miss them terrible!!!!

Oh well. Not everything good lasts forever rite?? I doubt that i'll have more fun in d govt, but heck, it's for my own good, aight??

Monday, February 02, 2004

I'm leaving HDPM on 13th Feb '04. Coz my Kursus Induksi for d PTD is on 16th Feb. Goshh... that's barely 2 weeks time. Shit!

Okay, dun take me wrong. I happy that I got d PTD. Exhilirated!!

But i guess, i just can't believe it sometimes. Leaving behind all the people that ended up meaning sooo much to me within just a couple of months or so.

Well... nothing comes out of being scared of change, rite?

Okay.. SHIT!!! I just remembered sumthing. N meaning that I JUST REMEMBERED SUMTHING!!! Farah's bro getting married on 15th Feb. Gawd... *shaking head* I'm gonna be bz like nobody's business here...

Oh well... Life's always been hectic. Just better that i deal wit it, aight?

Anyway, i'm trying to bring up d courage to say hi to a guy that i like. But being d idiotic me, i'm too shy to do it *yess, i am not that confident okay, people* My frenz have been bugging me to just go to him n say,"Hi!"

Like duuhhh.. How can u just go up to someone n say that??! Dat's d one thing that u wouldn't want to do. It sounds sooo... emm, silly. Like hellooo... Smiling, is still okay. Going up to a guy n saying hi?? That's... urghhh... scary.

Okay, okay... i dun have d guts. What's new? I've never been good in sorting out my rships with men. My frenz rships, i've been prettie good in handling. But my own?? U-uhh... I'm all stammers n clumsiness... Shit.

So how in d world am i gonna get to know dis guy?? Well, we know each other. We've smiled at each other. But we've technically never spoke to one another. *Pathetic, i know* D chemistry's there. But no guts to actually do something about it. Urghhh... *help!*

Anyhow, i'm leaving next week. So there goes my chances wit him. But he is damn cute. Especially when he wears those glasses of his... *sigh* *goes staring off into space*

I'm hopeless, aren't i??

Tuesday, January 27, 2004

I GOT THE PTD THINGY!!!!!!!!!! Yii-haaa.. but it didn't stay in my bank account for long. Ohh no. I went n had fun!! Treated myself to a Punjabi suit. Damn cool one too! Hehehe..

Okayyy.. so maybe i did go a bit overboard. I went n bought the suit + earrings to match + some diamond-shaped zirconia to put on my forehead *can't seem to remember what they called it*.

It was so much fun putting it on. But yeah, so maybe i looked way too indianish... Hey, any girl with the full indian gear n dark-skinned will look like an indian chick, aight? Hahaha..

So yeah, i'm hooked. I'm planning to buy some more punjabi suits. My gal-frens at work r definitely d best people to go shopping wit. They definitely know how to bargain, n where to bargain. Am planning to go out wit them dis week to look for more punjabi suits. We're having this Punjabi theme dress-up this coming week.

Am definitely on d look-out for a cun outfit to wear.

Anyway, am planning to make some milo agar-agar to bring to work on Monday. D one's i brought to work on thursday, was a total hit!! *well, me mam is a GREAT cook!*

So, i just thot of bringing some to work on monday. Since they all like it that much..

So, okay. Hafta go. Along cooked some chicken for me. Hafta to go n eat it b4 it all of it vanishes into the hungry tummies of my dear ol' siblings. Hahahaha... C ya people!!!

Saturday, January 17, 2004

Y is it there's nothing to watch on TV, the day n moment u want to watch it??

When u're working d graveyard shift n having no access to Astro at Putrajaya, n u return to Bt Caves to spend some quality time wit the 'idiot box' (as they call it), there's hardly anything interesting to watch.

I ended up channel surfing like my life depended on it. Flicking thru channels trying to find an intersting program to watch becomes sort of like an art. It's not easy trying to make sense of blur of colours running by the screen when u flick thru channels. I'm at least proud to say that I've perfected it to an art.

Finally, i ended up watching a documentary on how male sea horses get themselves impregnated by female sea horses. Quite enlightening, to tell u d truth. I stayed on it for about emm... 15 seconds or so b4 i continued wit channel surfing (short attention span person here).

Finally, i gave up looking for an interesting program, n surrendered myself to watching the chat channels, n trying to figure out what posesses people to chat on TV. It's damn idiotic, to tell u d truth. N damn expensive.

Kids who chat on those channels, really do not appreciate the value of maney. Their parents are slaving their ass off to earn money to give their kids stuff they never had when they were young, n what do their children do??

Waste RM0.50 on each msg they send to those stupid channels. Wouldn't it be better for them to like... save it or at least use that money to catch a movie or something. Damn idiots la those kids. Imagine if u sent 10 msgs to that channel. RM0.50 x 10 =??. I'll let u do d math. I never was good at it.

But still, that's still money.

Probably when they start working, they'll appreciate d value of money. But until then, that's like... a lot of money to waste, rite?

Anyway, their parents probably are rich enuff to allow them to do all that stuff. Abah would have killed me even b4 i sent d first msg thru. Hahahahaa... Well, that's exaggerating. Not kill.. just give a good sound lecture. Hehehe...

Monday, January 12, 2004

Nokia finally came up with the flip-type (Model: 7200). And right after i bought my new handphone a few months ago. Shit! It's damn cun lak tu. Dammit!

I've been waiting for aeons for Nokia to come up with their flip-type hp. And when i finally gave up waiting, they had just to come up with it. Now, i have to start saving money again to buy it. And it'll bound cost me around RM2k. Urghh... Maybe i'll wait till end year to buy it. Hopefully the prices would have dropped by then (but most probably by just RM100 - RM200 or so). Still to damn expensive for me to buy. Urghh...

So anyhow, life's just like that. Full of ironies. Like the instance above here.

After years waiting for d Nokia flip-type, n finally buying another model, Nokia just had to release their flip-type hp. *shaking head in disgust*

Okay, i bet a LOT of you have experienced this situation. After picking your groceries in a supermarket, you head off to queue. There 5 available counters. Counters 1-4 have queues that are damn long. Counter 5 however, had fewer people than the other queues. Thinking that u're in luck, u stand in line at Counter 5.

Now, irony being at it's best, d moment u stand in line at Counter 5, the cashier experiences problems with the price scanner/ has to go off looking for d price tag of an item taken by the customer in front of u/ etc. In d end, u notice that d queue at Counter 1-4 combined are a whole lot damn quicker than d queue at Counter 5. U spent 15 minutes extra queueing up at Counter 5, than u would have if u queued up at Counters 1-4. Ridiculous huh?!

And another. Have u ever noticed that Sales are usually held during the periods when u have no extra cash to spare?

So there u have it. Irony at it's best.

But heyy, life wouldn't be interesting without ironies huh?

Sunday, January 11, 2004

Have u ever heard of the 'Ngah Syndrome'??

I've been asked as to whether i have this syndrome, by the Panel of Interviewers for d PTD a few days back. Hmmm... am still trying to collect more info reagrding this syndrome.

SECOND-CHILD SYNDROM (a.k.a. Ngah Sindrom)

Definition: The fact that the new baby receives less than half of the attention that the first one did.

People tend to agree that the second-child are usually overshadowed by their older and younger siblings. However, to compensate for the lack of attention that they frequently receive, the second-child are skilled 'attention grabbers'; either in a havoc-creating or fun & creative manner. Many middle children find fewer photos of them in the family photo albums, or at least fewer photos of them by themselves.

Being a second-child, i do understand the dilemmas, misery and even troubles of others in my position. The feeling of being overshadowed by an older sister (who is brilliant, independent and of a strong character) and the kid brother (who is able to get away with murder). Even having a younger sister who is a genius, doesn't help much.

However, i guess being put in a situation where i felt lack of attention given, taught me how to improvise. As a kid, i was told that i warmed easily towards others. Constantly seeking their approval and trying to make people laugh and smile. I tried to be a fun person to be around with.

And i guess, the constant need for attention and approval, carried on until my grown-up years. Even now, when doing certain stuff, i still turn towards those that matter to me, to get their approval. In a way, i am dependent on them. Not in terms of physical. But in terms of mental and emotional.

I know that it doesn't matter what others think of me. To a certain extent, i certainly do not care much for what the world thinks of me. Except for the thots of my family.

The second-child are usually the peacemakers. The negotiators and diplomats among the siblings. Giving in to the needs of the whole seems more important than the need of the individual. Always ensuring that your other siblings needs are fulfilled before your own.

One thing that i've noticed common among the second-child's i've met so far, their need to constantly protect those dear to them is very strong. In a way, the second-child does take up more responsibility than what is expected of them.

The reliable sibling. The negotiator. The secret-keeper. The handle-disappointments-better-sibling. For girls, the mother-figure (i'm not so sure abt guys).

In some cases, the rebel-within or the black sheep.

I was once at a stage, where i was constantly rebelling against my parents. Not in an upfront way, though. Kinda like leading a double-life. I was constantly trying to be the perfect daughter and sister, with my family. On my own, i did the craziest and most idiotic things ever imaginable (except for cigarettes, drugs, alcohol and sex). There are still some issues that i don't dare crossing over. My parents did manage to instill strong values within all of us. And for that, we are blessed.

So there... the second-child is kinda different from all the other siblings. And despite all the ups and downs i've experienced throughout my growing up days, it ain't so bad. Once u've past that age, u'll learn to accept your situation as it is, and make the best out of what u have.
